FAQ
  • Why can I not find my citation online?
    • You must wait 10-14 business days after receiving your citation before you attempt to pay a fine or obtain online information regarding your citation.
    • If your citation involves an accident, it must be investigated and if approved for online payment is typically payable 10 days prior to the court date on your citation.
  • Not all cases can be paid online.
    • Some cases require a mandatory appearance. Citations for Reckless Driving, speeding 24 mph or more over the posted limit, and cell phone use violations are not payable online.
    • All citations not approved for payment by prosecutors require an in person appearance on your court date. If you were arrested, you MUST appear for court.
  • What type of payments do we accept?
    • Cash, Check (Checks made out to the Forsyth County Clerk of Court. No starter checks allowed; checks must have name imprinted. Personal checks must be local—Georgia.
    • Visa, MasterCard & Discover (Convenience Fee is 4.5% + $.50)
  • Where do I make payment for my traffic citation?
    • Payments are accepted online. Pay Citation Online
    • Payments can also be paid at the Clerk’s office, Monday—Friday between the hours of 8:30am—5:00pm or by mail at Clerk of Court, 101 East Courthouse Square, Suite 1007, Cumming GA 30040.
  • Defendant is 16 years of age or younger.
