ADR Fee Increase Effective July 10, 2014

The Alternative Dispute Resolution program fee will increase to $10.00 beginning July 10, 2014 per Administrative Order dated July 9, 2014. The ADR fee is applied to a civil cases and will raise the filing fee to $212.00 for Superior Court filings.

Traffic Citations - July 15th Court Date

All holders of tickets must either pay the traffic citation prior to the arraignment date listed on the ticket, July 15th, or appear for arraignment on July 15th located in the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 East Main Street, Suite 220, Cumming, Ga 30040. All tickets that are not paid, do not have a plea entered by July 15th, or do not have a new court date assigned will be charged a late fee of $65.50.

New Courthouse Construction Continues...

Some frequently asked questions we have received concerning the new Courthouse:

1) What offices will be located in the new Courthouse?

Law Library, Jury Assembly Room, Traffic Arraignment, Clerk of Court, District Attorney, Solicitor General, Grand Jury, Superior Court courtrooms and judge's offices, State Court courtrooms and judge's offices, and Court Administration.

One floor and part of another floor will not be built-out, as planned for future expansion and needs.

 

2) What happens to the current Courthouse?

The Probate Court and Magistrate Court will occupy most of the building; space will also be utilized for court services such as Indigent Defense, Drug Court Coordinators and Pre-Trial Services.
